Solar Solutions.
At Kent County High, we have solar panels that convert sunlight into energy to power both our school, as well as neighboring Worton Elementary. Solar panels are not only good for the environment but they also save much needed money.
OverviewThe solar panels were installed in the spring of 2012. Projections originally indicated that the school system would save funds on electricity and heating and cooling. Kent County as a whole is on the leading edge of solar innovation, with three additional sites located elsewhere in the area.
