Cooperation with local agencies - how do we work together?
Teachers were the Students as part of Washington College's Rivers to the Bay Program.
An intensive project, teachers were afforded the opportunity to work with other professionals to build a program to enhance their knowledge of Environmental Education. Real world problems were incorporated as part of the issues investigation part of the training.
Over a three year period, multiple teachers in various disciplines have been trained at KCHS.

PTA - How are they Environmental?
How does the KCHS PTA go green? They literally ARE green! Every year for three years they host a Trojan Trample. This 5K generates funds for a scholarship that is given to a student through an application process. People come wearing Green and run green and the whole day is great!!

Teachers are consistently reminded of meetings and events happening through professional development opportunities as well as other invitations. Paperless classrooms sound great but how to actually implement this without textbooks? A team of teachers became the leaders in this innovative program and we are proud to say 100% of our staff has been trained at some point in various levels of this innovative technology!
